Audiences around the world are invited to tune in together for a global film event – and be the first to hear an exclusive end track from Grammy-winning artist Imogen Heap.
How to Live on Earth, presented by two-time Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch, will premiere on YouTube on Sunday 20 September 2026 at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST / 8pm CET.
The highly-anticipated launch of How to Live on Earth on YouTube follows its recent World Premiere event and UK theatrical release, and marks an exciting next chapter in the film’s journey — making it accessible to audiences everywhere and creating a shared viewing experience.
The premiere will also mark the debut of an original end credit track written, produced and performed by Grammy-winning artist Imogen Heap. Titled ‘Chapter 4’, the track draws inspiration from the hopeful and empowering messages of the film.
Commenting on the collaboration, Imogen Heap said: “This all sparked from a conversation with my dear friend, Dan O'Neill, a wildlife biologist and one of the featured experts who shares their experiences in How To Live On Earth. After watching the film, which I absolutely loved, I was deeply inspired to write this track. I'm so honoured to be a part of it and can't wait for audiences to hear ‘Chapter 4’ for the first time during the film's global premiere on YouTube."
Ahead of the YouTube release, the film is travelling to audiences around the world through a series of Regional Premieres and high-level screenings in Switzerland, Australia, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and the United States, among other locations.
On the day of its global release (20 September), How to Live on Earth will receive a special screening and Q&A at the Climate Film Festival in New York, kicking off New York Climate Week and bringing audiences together at a moment of global focus on climate, nature and the future of our planet.

The film’s release will be supported by a global impact campaign, delivered in partnership with a network of NGOs, UN Agencies and educational institutions — designed to take the film into classrooms, learning environments and decision-making forums at critical moments to drive change.
